On this day 11 years ago, my heart was broken. Michael Jackson died. And yes, I did cry a little. He was MY boyfriend in the 3rd grade. I got to see the Jacksons at Reunion Arena when I was in the 4th grade. I even took the Thriller album to my 6th grade gym class before it went mainstream. Oh yeah, back in the day the gym teacher let us bring albums to class to make our workouts a little cooler. Also while in the 6th grade, I was MJ as one of the hosts in the talent show. I really wanted to be Boy George, but that’s another story…His music covers almost every mood and he is one of the greatest performers in musical history. Although Michael is gone, his music and smile will live on forever in my heart.
